Archives and Local History Collection

The Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

The Archives and Local History Reading Room is located on the first floor of Hammersmith Library, Shepherd’s Bush Road. This is an excellent local history and archives collection which is a valuable resource for researching the area, or the history of your street or house.  

Normal opening hours are Monday and Tuesday, 10.00am – 5.00pm. Access to archive materials must be booked in advance by telephoning  0208 753 3850. Local history material is available on open shelves, without an appointment and is accessible during the Library’s opening hours.
