St John Passion by Fulham Camerata: 17th March 2024

With an eye towards Good Friday and Easter Fulham Camerata's next concert is the magnificent St John Passion by Bach. They will be singing it in German, as it was conceived, and with the accompaniment of a chamber orchestra.

The St John Passion (Johannes-Passion in German), is a setting of the Passion story as related in St John’s Gospel. It was first performed on Good Friday, April 7, 1724, in Leipzig and below is a taster of what is to come:
